This document maps some of the untapped features already inside your ResNexus account, the events growth strategy, and the community layer that turns one-time guests into lifelong advocates — all working together, with zero disruption to what's already working.
ResNexus is a fully loaded property management platform. Right now the booking calendar, room listings, gift certificates, and the direct booking engine are live. That's a strong foundation — and a significant opportunity sitting untouched underneath it.
Guests can search dates, select rooms, and complete reservations directly — no third-party commission. This is the core and it's working.
Available for purchase through the booking engine. Currently listed and purchasable — a real revenue channel already online.
Stirling Suites Outlaws Hideaway and other units are live with photos and descriptions. Guests can browse and compare rooms before booking.
Confirmation, pre-arrival, welcome, thank-you, birthday, anniversary, and re-booking emails — all built into ResNexus, none turned on.
The Romance Package exists as a line item. The full retail/package system — with sidebar upsells at checkout — is not yet configured.
Private booking links for weddings, retreats, and reunions. Groups can self-book their rooms. Currently unused — a major revenue gap for events.
Automatic rate adjustment by occupancy and booking window. Weekend minimum night rules. None of this is set — rates are static right now.
Built-in digital signature contracts for events, rentals, and long-term agreements. Especially valuable for weddings and corporate retreats.
Some of these you may already have working - Each of these is already inside ResNexus. None of them require outside software. All of them require a planning session to configure correctly — because the exact setup needs to come from you, not from a template.
ResNexus fires a sequence of emails automatically based on reservation events — the moment someone books, days before they arrive, and after they leave. Templates are fully customizable with your branding and guest details. Emails send through Amazon SES with your reply address, so guests respond directly to you.
Email content, timing, branding, and policy language all need to be set. Guest policies — including cutoff times, package rules, and property notices — can be embedded into pre-arrival and booking confirmation emails so every guest is informed before, at booking, and again before arrival. This is a sit-down conversation.
ResNexus has a retail system where packages and add-ons appear as sidebar items during booking — before and after room selection, giving guests two upsell moments in every transaction. Guests can even shop by package first, then pick their room. This is a ResNexus-only feature no competitor offers in the same way.
Every package needs a name, description, price, photo, inventory setting, and the correct booking engine tab assignment. Requirements and rewards need to be mapped — what the guest must book to qualify, and what they receive. The packages in development need to be finalized in a planning session before they go live.
ResNexus Group Reservations lets you block specific rooms for specific nights under one group, then generate a private booking link. That link goes into a wedding invitation, a corporate retreat email, or a family reunion group chat. Guests self-book their own rooms. Payments can be collected as a group or individually per guest.
Group reservation setup requires defining which rooms are in a block, the dates, deposit requirements, payment collection method, and the communication flow to group organizers. Contracts and liability waivers for events also live here — built-in digital signature, no third-party tool needed. All of this maps from a planning session.
ResNexus yield management lets you set rules that automatically raise or lower rates based on occupancy levels and how far in advance a booking is made. Minimum nights can be set by day of week, season, or date range — with "expiring minimums" that open single nights automatically if a gap would otherwise go empty near check-in.
Yield rules, occupancy thresholds, and minimum-night logic all need to be calibrated to the actual booking patterns at MMR. Running a planning session first to review the historical booking data in the ResNexus reports gives the right baseline before any rules go live. Automated pricing without that baseline is guesswork.
majesticmountainranch.com is doing its job well. The events site is a completely separate surface targeting a completely different audience — people who are planning something significant and need to find a venue, not just a room. They search differently. They spend differently. They need a different experience to convert.
Executive assistants and operations managers booking off-site retreats for leadership teams. High spend, multi-night, needs contract and group link.
Couples looking for a private, scenic ranch venue in Idaho. Full buyout potential. Wedding party lodging plus event space in one property.
Small groups of 6–12 looking for an exclusive ranch experience. Hot springs access, sauna, fire pits. High interest in packages and add-ons.
Extended families who want private property access over a long weekend. Individual room bookings under one group link. Each family pays their own share.
Retreat organizers booking the full property for a curated wellness weekend. Sauna, creek access, Boise National Forest proximity are all selling points.
Artists, photographers, and creatives booking a scenic private ranch for workshops and group shoots. Unique venue, high shareable value.
AI-readable, SEO-built for high-intent event searches
Event type, dates, group size captured
Private ResNexus link generated and sent
Each guest books their room through the private link
Every guest gets confirmation, welcome, and thank-you
In ResNexus forever — books direct next time
Nothing in this document gets configured from a template. Everything gets built from a conversation — because the right setup for MMR comes from understanding exactly how the property operates, what the packages are, what the policies will be, and what the priority order is.
Sit down together and map the full picture — packages, policies, guest notices, event types, email content, and priority order. Nothing goes into ResNexus until this is done right.
Build out the four feature buckets in sequence: email sequences first, then packages and SKUs, then group reservations, then yield management rules. Each one tested before the next.
The events site goes live pointing directly into the configured ResNexus booking infrastructure. Group links, package pages, and inquiry flows all connected and tested.
External newsletter set up, email capture live on the events site, internal lead tracker built and synchronized. Community flywheel begins turning.
New packages published when ready. Yield rules reviewed seasonally. Newsletter goes out consistently. ResNexus reports reviewed to understand what's working and where to push next.
Every feature in this document has verified documentation, a knowledge base article, and a dedicated support line. Nothing here is experimental — it's all production-grade and in use by thousands of properties. When something needs a deeper technical answer, we go straight to the source.
The platform is paid for. The property is exceptional. The reviews speak for themselves. This is about turning on what's already there — and building the new audience layer that events revenue requires.
Every feature in this document is included in the existing ResNexus subscription. Configuration, not cost.
The existing site is working. Nothing changes. The events site is a new surface for a new audience — purely additive.
Corporate planners, wedding coordinators, and retreat organizers book multi-night, multi-room, full-buyout. Different category entirely from single-night leisure.
No OTA owns the relationship. Every booking through ResNexus direct means that guest is in your list — available for newsletters, re-booking emails, and anniversary offers forever.
This is an inventory of features built directly into the ResNexus platform — no third-party plugins, no add-on services, no outside software. Everything listed here lives inside a single ResNexus login. Features are organized by the two plan tiers exactly as ResNexus publishes them. Every item links to the official ResNexus documentation page for that feature. Source: resnexus.com/software-features.html — resnexus.com/Features/
These features are included in the base ResNexus subscription. Every property on any plan has access to all of these from day one. Full plan comparison at resnexus.com/software-features.html.
Take and manage reservations made over the phone directly inside ResNexus. The same system handles phone and online bookings in one place — no separate log, no manual transfer.
Commission-free booking engine embedded into your property website. Guests book in real time without going through a third-party platform. No per-booking fee, no OTA cut.
Visual calendar showing all units and bookings across a rolling 1–3 month window. Drag and drop to move reservations between rooms or dates. Filter by payment status, booking source, or retail items purchased.
Single-view calendar showing all upcoming arrivals, departures, and in-house guests. Guest details, payment status, and reservation notes accessible without clicking between pages.
Check-in and check-out workflow, room assignment at booking or walk-in, payment collection, and guest profile access — all from one screen. Rooms are pre-assigned when guests book so there's no scramble at arrival.
Guest profiles with contact details, full reservation history, payment records, and communication logs stored per guest. The system automatically flags returning guests at check-in without requiring the guest to log in or register — staff sees it instantly.
Unit configuration, room setup, amenity lists, restrictions, arrival time controls, and overall property settings. Everything that defines how each unit appears to guests and how bookings are structured.
Room status tracking — clean, dirty, in-progress, inspected. Staff can see which units need turnover, how long each guest is staying, when arrivals and departures are, and how many guests to expect. Status visible to all staff across all devices.
Full platform runs in any browser on desktop, tablet, or smartphone — Mac, PC, iOS, Android. No software installation. Staff access from anywhere on property or off. Updates deploy automatically with no downtime.
iOS and Android app with biometric login. View and make reservations, check guests in and out, update housekeeping status, and communicate with guests via integrated text messaging — all from a phone. Designed for operators who aren't always at a desk.
Invoice generation and direct billing to guests or group organizers from inside ResNexus. Track outstanding balances, record payments, and issue receipts without a separate accounting tool.
Booking engine branding — colors, fonts, imagery, and layout — configurable to match your property's visual identity. Guests see a consistent brand experience from the website through to the booking confirmation.
Set minimum stay requirements by unit, day of week, date range, or season. "Expiring minimums" automatically open single nights as check-in approaches if a gap would otherwise sit empty — protecting revenue without losing last-minute bookings.
Automatically reduce the nightly rate as stay length increases — incentivizes longer bookings without manual rate adjustments. Configurable by unit, date range, and stay length threshold.
Rule-based automatic rate adjustment triggered by occupancy levels and how far in advance a booking is made. Set the occupancy threshold, the adjustment amount (percentage or dollar), the units affected, and the days of week — ResNexus handles the rest. Applies to online bookings, phone bookings, or both.
Custom rate structures per reservation type — military and veteran discounts, AAA, AARP, senior rates, corporate rates, membership programs. Applied at booking or manually by staff. Builds guest loyalty and qualifies discounts without modifying base pricing.
Create individual SKUs for physical or experiential items — name, description, price, photo, inventory count, vendor notification email. Items can be set to auto-add to reservations, sold through the booking engine, or transacted at point-of-sale. Each SKU assigned to a booking engine tab for guest visibility during checkout.
Purchasable online through the booking engine. Redeemable against any future reservation. Managed and tracked inside ResNexus — no third-party gift card system needed.
Guests check in and check out from their smartphone before arriving. Registration is completed digitally, payment is captured in advance, and the front desk queue is eliminated. Pairs with Wi-Fi door locks for a fully contactless arrival experience.
Guests receive a temporary access code — last four digits of their mobile number — that activates at check-in and expires at checkout. Code generated and managed automatically from the reservation. No physical key, no lockbox, no manual code rotation.
Built-in cancellation coverage. If a guest cancels due to illness, injury, or death, both the guest and the property receive 100% reimbursement of the booking total. The guest pays a small protection fee at booking. No cost to the property. Cancellation slots can be re-booked for additional revenue.
Fires automatically the moment a booking is completed — online or by phone. Pulls reservation details directly from the booking record. Fully customizable template with property branding. Reply address routes to the property email so guests contact you directly.
Pre-arrival email sent on a configurable schedule before check-in. Delivers directions, check-in instructions, property policies, area recommendations, and package reminders. Reduces pre-arrival phone calls and prepares guests before they arrive. Essentials plan includes one template; Premier expands this.
Post-departure email sent automatically after checkout. The primary trigger point for review requests. Keeps the guest relationship active after the stay and seeds future direct bookings. Essentials plan includes one template; Premier expands this.

Full package builder — define requirements (minimum nights, room type, promo code) and rewards (discounted nights, retail items, fixed prices). Multiple requirements and rewards per package. Seasonal date ranges with optional advance booking outside the season. Guests can browse packages before selecting a room — a booking flow no competitor replicates.
Retail items and packages displayed in sidebar panels on the first page of the booking engine — before room selection. The guest sees upsell options immediately, not buried at checkout. Add-ons appear a second time after room selection and before payment. Two visibility moments in every single transaction.
Automated email sequence to guests who started a booking and didn't complete it. Customizable timing and message. Recovers bookings that would otherwise be lost without any manual follow-up. One of the highest-ROI features in the platform for properties with meaningful booking engine traffic.
On-site retail transactions — physical items, services, and add-ons sold in person during a guest's stay. POS items can be charged directly to an open reservation folio. Same inventory system as the online gift shop — a sale in person or online deducts from the same stock count.
Built-in rate comparison tool that evaluates your room rates against similar properties in your market and surfaces adjustment recommendations. Provides competitive pricing context without requiring a third-party benchmarking subscription.
Full newsletter and promotional email builder to the complete guest list. Drag-and-drop template designer with property branding. Segment sends by stay date, booking source, or guest type. Used for seasonal promotions, new package announcements, availability windows, and property updates. All sent through Amazon SES with delivery tracking. Setup guide at support.resnexus.com.
Automated emails sent to past guests on their birthday or stay anniversary — fired from guest profile data collected at booking. Includes optional promotional offer or re-booking prompt. Runs completely passively once configured. One of the highest-converting retention tools for repeat direct bookings.
Manage Google Ads campaigns from inside the ResNexus dashboard. Track campaign performance alongside booking data so ad spend can be evaluated against actual reservation revenue — not just clicks. No need to cross-reference a separate Google Ads account to understand return.
Block specific rooms for specific dates under one group record. Generate a private booking link for that group — sent via email, text, or embedded in invitations. Each guest clicks the link and self-books their own room. Payments collected per guest or as a group total. All individual reservations organized under one group in the dashboard. Full deep-dive at resnexus.us/group-reservation-software-event-planning.
Full workload overview per housekeeper — unit assignments, estimated cleaning time, status tracking, shift planning. Staff communication built in — message individuals or the full housekeeping team without phone calls or radios. Tracks when each unit was last cleaned, by whom, and what type of clean was performed. Standard Housekeeping handles status; Housekeeping Pro handles staff workflow.
End-of-day accounting sequence that finalizes the financial record for each calendar day. Generates configurable daily reports — revenue by category, outstanding balances, net balance, payment totals, refunds — sent automatically to designated recipients. Maintains the running net outstanding balance that accountants and bookkeepers need for clean records.
Digital signature contracts generated and signed inside ResNexus — no third-party tool required. Covers event agreements, long-term rentals, vehicle rentals, liability waivers, pet policies, and codes of conduct. Master documents stored in the system. Guests sign digitally before or at arrival.
